Day 3 - Presents and Lunch Out

Third day in Accra and lots of fun as always! This morning we decided it was time to give out the little presents I brought for the kids. Joy got them all lined up on the couch and we gave the water pistols to the boys and Polly Pocket dolls to the girls. There was also new computer games, and some sunglasses. Everyone was very happy with their presents; of course they had to try out the water guns right away, so outside they went with gusto!

This afternoon Maria and I went out to lunch at Frankie's, which is a relatively expensive restaurant where supposedly cool young people with money like to hang out. It was about a one hour taxi ride each way, but no big traffic jams today (no more than the usual) since we returned before rush hour. Frankie's is in the Osu area of Accra, which is supposed to be the ritzy area where all the tourists go. I didn't find it so ritzy, but Frankie's was nice and the food seemed good. I had some time to talk to Maria while we were out, which was nice, and Joy, Maria and I spent some time talking after we came back. Joy watched the kids so Maria could go out.
